Bath Lorry Crash

Two men charged causing a lorry crash which killed four people – including a four-year-old girl – will appear in court today. Phillip John Potter and Matthew Gordon are due to appear at Bath Magistrates Court on dangerous driving charges after a tipper truck careered off a Bath road last February. Potter, 19, of Little Middle Green Farm, Dauntsey, Wiltshire, has been charged with two counts of causing death by dangerous driving and two counts of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.

Gordon, 29, of Chestnut Farm, Dauntsey, has been charged with two counts of aiding, abetting, counselling and procuring/aiding and abetting cause death by dangerous driving and two counts of aiding, abetting, counselling and procuring/aiding and abetting cause serious injury by dangerous driving. He has also been charged with one count of dangerous driving. Potter was driving a HGV tipper truck which collided with Bath girl Mitzi Steady who died at the scene at Lansdown Lane on February 9, 2015.
